Design Major

I’m a San Francisco based designer with an affinity towards publication and packaging design. I’m originally from Caracas, Venezuela, but I’ve also lived in Colombia and now California. I aim to promote authenticity, diversity and environmental awareness in my work. I believe excellent design can shift paradigms. I strive to immerse myself in my projects in order to create memorable experiences that resonate with viewers from all walks of life.

Apagón

Apagón is a zine that explores songs written by Venezuelan artists during the power outage crisis. Nationwide electricity shortages are a commonality attributed to lack of maintenance and funding from the government. Artists throughout the country have voiced their personal experiences on the matter. Apagón displays the lyrics of Venezuela by La Chica and Tiro by Arca. The imagery in the lyrics inspired the illustrations on the zine and pattern.
