She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BS in economics and a minor in fine arts and has worked with clay for over fifteen years. Her work consists mostly of thrown ceramic vessels with hand built elements, playing with humor and functionality. I exaggerate natural shapes, take advantage of natural laws, or flip conventional uses on their head. The functionally nonfunctional.\u00a0 I work with clay because of its versatility and long standing history of practical use. Though every work I make serves a function, it may not go about it in the traditional sense.
