Leila Major is San Francisco based interdisciplinary artist, coming from a family of artists, activists, and educators that inspire her work and worldview. Drawing upon her multi-cultural heritage and spiritual traditions, personal symbols of importance, and a sense of connection to unseen forces that influence earthly matters; her work depicts a personal mythology that investigates ways to navigate the future through honoring and the past and reconnecting with the unknown. Major is currently a student at the University of San Francisco (USF), majoring in Fine Arts with a minor in Museum Studies and has been featured in The de Young Museum (2023) and USF’s Thacher Gallery (2024, 2025).
