I’m a design graduate of the University of San Francisco living and working in San Francisco. I was born in San Francisco and raised in Manila, Philippines. My international upbringing has contributed to my personal style and design ethos – I celebrate the merging of diverse influences and tastes. I have personal interests in fashion, film, and music, which all inform my design work.
Interweaved
The idea of Interweaved originates from paying homage to my father, a pilot. Because of his work, my family has the privilege of exploring the world and experiencing great travels as a family. Some of our fondest memories and closest bonding experiences have been on these trips together, where we open ourselves up to new opportunities and learning experiences. My travels have introduced me to a world of international patterns and textiles, each reflecting the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of its place of origin.
Interweaved is a celebration of that global tapestry. Every piece featured represents a country I’ve had the chance to experience firsthand—places that have shaped my understanding of cultural heritage and deepened my appreciation for the craftsmanship behind each design. The artisans behind these patterns not only preserve tradition but also play a vital role in sustaining their communities and enriching their nations’ identities. Within the acrylic frames are the personal memories and nostalgia of experiencing each country, which hopefully reflect onto your own viewing experience. As you take a look at my personal photographs and frame designs, I invite you to immerse yourself in my memories and fond recollections of these travels.
