A third of our life is spent sleeping. During this time, our minds are in limbo, suspended between the real and the imaginary. Dreams are a powerful unlimited state of being unrestricted by reality, ego, and the rational. Dreams blur boundaries and can transcend us into different worlds and adventures and can explore memories and future ideas. The Missing Third is a visual hardcover book incorporating AI imagery to explore the versatility and uniqueness of our dream worlds. For this collection of dreams, I used social media to contact and prompt participants to fill out a form telling me about their wildest dreams. I utilized MidJourney, an AI imagery software, which guides by prompts and stories given by the user to create the visuals. Just like dreams, the technology of AI meshes together elements of reality to create a unique perspective that is not rooted in reality.
