Hello there! My name is Alex Marsden, and I am a graphic designer from Southern California. My passion for photo manipulation and digital art was inspired by my father’s work in video editing. I mainly use Photoshop and Illustrator to manipulate photos and create dynamic, visually striking images.

The focus of this design project is to explore the impact of parental influence on a child’s development. Specifically, the project examines how the imposition of a parent’s views onto their children can affect their overall growth. To visually represent this concept, I created three posters. The first two posters present opposing ideals, while the third poster aims to depict an unattainable and complex middle ground, which reflects the reality in our current world dominated by extremes.

Through my project, I aim to provoke reflection and discussion on the role of parental influence in shaping a child’s development. By creating a visual representation of the impact of parental ideals, I hope to encourage a deeper understanding of the complexities of parenting and the importance of considering a child’s individual needs and preferences in the process. Ultimately, this project aims to promote a more balanced and thoughtful approach to parenting that prioritizes the child’s overall growth of intellect.
