Valerie Bravo (she/her)
Design, to me, is meant to inform, intrigue, inspire and solve. Design has the power to change the very fabric of our mind and change the way we see the world around us; either by making our lives easier or calling attention to a serious issue. Design is in every part of our life. My design focuses on vibrant colors, a bold use of typography and a focus on asymmetry through the use of negative space. As for my art, it is what keeps me balanced. Similar to my graphic design approach, my art reflects chaos and order; it reflects movement, clarity and serenity. Its sole purpose is to exist and I exist to create it.
MESH magazine explores art created by different people from different backgrounds. This magazine is home to art of many mediums such as, photography, music, poetry, drawings, drag, etc. Its purpose is to highlight the amazing talent people have and create a space for it to be appreciated. MESH magazine is meant to inspire you and have you reflect on what it means to be represented. It is time to change the way we are perceived and reimagine what it means to be in harmony with life and each other.
